One Giant Leap
Just as the United States became the first country to successfully land on the moon in the 1960s, so does First Stop aim to being the first place the homeless turn to when taking one giant leap toward a better quality of life.
Landing the homeless of Huntsville into sustainable living feels like an insurmountable mission, much like the mission to land on the moon. But “one giant leap for mankind” in 1969 actually took years of small compounding steps. An impossible mission became possible with the right resources, teamwork, and determination.
With your support, what feels like a 200,000-mile leap for the homeless becomes possible. We invite you to join us for our “One Giant Leap” fundraising event on Tuesday, October 19 at 5:00 PM at the Davidson Center to help us with our mission to “encounter the homeless where they are, connect them to critical services and support, and empower them toward sustainable living.”
